Diamond museum and stone-granite park to be built in Khajuraho
Bhopal : Minister for Mineral Resources Shri Pradeep Jaiswal held a discussion with the public representatives and divisional officials at Khajuraho on the auction of diamond mine at Bakswaha, Diamond Museum at Khajuraho and the establishment of Stone-Granite Park. Shri Jaiswal asked the officials to start work on the proposed work plan immediately. He told to ensure employment to more and more local youth in industries being established in Chhatarpur district in coordination with the Department of Minerals and Tourism. He said that the tourism sector will also develop with the movement of diamond traders in the international tourist destination Khajuraho. The Minister of Mineral Resources said that the execution of technical tender will be completed this month through auction in Bandar diamond project. Demonstrations will be held at the museum for auction of gem quality diamonds excavated from here.
Minister Shri Pradeep Jaiswal informed that the sand rules of the state government will become effective after publication in the Gazette. He said that the illegal mines identified will be auctioned to prevent illegal exploitation of mineral wealth and increase revenue. In addition, possibilities of establishing new mineral industries in Chhatarpur district will also be explored.
Information was given about the outline and action plan for the auction of proposed Diamond Museum and Baxwaha Bandar Diamond Mine through power point presentation in the meeting. Secretary, Mineral Resources Shri Narendra Singh Parmar informed about e-khanij portal and proposed departmental plan.
MLAs Shri Alok Chaturvedi, Shri Neeraj Dixit, Shri Pradyuman Singh Lodhi, Kunwar Vikram Singh and senior officers of Sagar division and mining officers of districts were present in the meeting.
