Mumbai : Award-winning learning app for preschoolers and subsidiary of late Rakesh Jhunjhunwala’s Nazara Technologies, Kiddopia today announced its plans to expand internationally, with Spanish and Japanese versions of the app being launched across markets. The homegrown, gamified edtech app was launched in German and Simplified Chinese very recently, with both versions witnessing immense popularity in relevant markets.

Founded by husband-wife duo Anshu and Anupam Dhanuka, Kiddopia helps preschoolers ages 2-7 develop creativity, social skills, language skills, and much more. The app boasts 100% original content created by education experts. Kiddopia was launched first in the US and has consistently ranked #2 in its category, encouraging it to venture into new markets. The app leads App Store charts in multiple regions worldwide and has garnered over 15 mn downloads in the past five years. In 2019, a leading global interactive gaming and digital sports media company, Nazara Technologies Ltd., invested ₹83.5 cr in Paper Boat Apps, the creator, and publisher of Kiddopia. Recently, Nazara invested another ₹10 cr in the company by way of secondary purchase of its equity shares.

Given that Spanish is one of the world’s most spoken languages besides Mandarin, with its Spanish launch, Kiddopia has extended its reach to most of the world’s population. In the coming months, with the addition of its Japanese localized version, Kiddopia targets a larger chunk of the global audience, thereby increasing its overall reach.

Commenting on this announcement, Anshu Dhanuka, Co-Founder and CPO at Kiddopia, said, “Our goal at Kiddopia has been to make quality experience-based learning more accessible. Towards this end, our educational experts curated content with clear universal appeal. This has been established from our growing app download/subscriber count. Inspired by this success and identifying an opportunity in other non-English speaking territories, we have been venturing into new markets. With our Spanish and Japanese versions now, we aim to add value to the e-learning experience of more young minds in their local/native languages. We will make Kiddopia available in even more languages in the coming months.”

Currently, Kiddopia has an impressive 15 million downloads, 2.5 million monthly active users, and a consistent 4.4 rating on the Apple App Store.
