Regimental therapy, a fast growing health care system: Dr Hameeda Tariq

Aligarh: “Ilaj Bit Tadbeer (Regimental Therapy) is a fast growing trend in public health care system and people are benefiting from it in large numbers throughout the world”, said Dr Hameeda Tariq, noted pediatrician, while addressing the participants of a continuing medical education (CME) of Unani practitioners on “Dissemination of Ilaj Bit Tadbeer in Public Domain through Medical Practitioners” organized by the Department of Ilaj Bit Tadbeer, A K Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University. The CME was held in collaboration with the BUMS Doctors’ Association, Aligarh Unit.

Dr Hameeda Tariq urged the Unani practitioners to introduce the regimental therapy in their areas of practice and provide the people with facilities like Hijama, Leech and steam therapies.

Professor Asia Sultana, Chairperson of the department and organizing secretary delineated the objectives of the CME and urged the participants to take the message of popularizing regimental therapy to common people and provide them with the cheapest Unani ways of health care.

Prof MMH Siddiqui, Dean, Faculty of Unani Medicine, Prof Saud Ali Khan, Principal, AK Tibbiya College and other senior faculty members were present on the occasion.
