Result of photography competition on antimicrobial resistance announced
Aligarh: Dr Pranshu Pandey from Dr Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow won the photography competition on antimicrobial resistance organized by the Hospital Infection Society India (Aligarh Chapter) in postgraduate category while Bhanu Chaudhary of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University emerged winner in in undergraduate category. The event was organized as part of the antibiotic awareness week observed by the Society.
Dr Vikramjeet Singh (Dr RML Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow) in postgraduate category and Lakhan Prakash Gupta (JNMC) in undergraduate category were declared the first runners up while Dr Sadiq Husain and Dr Sana Afreen (JNMC) in postgraduate category and Zainab Yusufali Motiwala (JNMC) in undergraduate category were declared the second runners up in the competition.
The consolation and special prizes were given to Dr Shahna Ali, Dr Shariq Ahmad and Ms Affaf Shuaib Khan (JNMC) and Ms Niharika Pandey (Integral University, Lucknow) in postgraduate category and Mysha Farhan Khan (DPS, Aligarh) Samreen Hashmi, Mississauga (Canada) and Manal Khursheed (JNMC) in undergraduate category.
Senior teachers from JNMC and Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College and private practitioners who judged the event included Prof Tamkin Khan, Prof Amjad Ali Rizvi, Prof Shoeb Zahir, Prof Kamran Afzal, Dr Haider Hussaini, Prof Abida Malik, Prof Iqbal Aziz, Prof Haris Manzoor Khan and Dr Alvira Shah.
Dr Fatima Khan (Secretary, HISI Aligarh Chapter) informed that apart from an appreciation certificate to the winners, the PG category winners will be offered free registration in, National Conference of Hospital Infection Society India HISICON 2020while first and second runners up will be entitled for free registration in any pre-conference CME and workshop of their choice in HISICON 2020.
The winners in undergraduate category will get a cash prize of Rs 1000/- while first and second runners up will be given pen-drives, she added.
