Three Day Workshop of Pidilite on “Let’s Get Creative” held

Aligarh : The University Women’s Polytechnic, AMU organized a three -day “Mega Workshop” of Pidilite on the theme; “LET’S GET CREATIVE.” It was organised to provide a platform to students to channelize their creative potential.

Ms Shahana Anjum (Expert teacher, Pidilite) resource person, discussed the exciting skills related to fashion and interior decoration; comprising Fluid art, Ceramic Pot decoration with Antique look, lamp designing, cutwork clay plate for jewellery display, different textures on fabric using salt and clay jewellery.

Dr Salma Shaheen, (Principal, University Women’s Polytechnic talked about the uncountable opportunities after learning the creative arts and skills. She also informed that Polytechnic has set up learning activities that promote students to explore their creativity in relevant, interesting and worthwhile ways with commercial viability.

Dr Sheeba Manzoor (Convener) in her welcome address highlighted the programme objectives.

Students from Diploma Costume Design and Garment Technology; Advance Diploma Interior Decoration and Diploma Secretarial Practice participated in the workshop and their designed and developed trendy articles were put on display.

During valedictory function results were announced where Ms Sidra Bilal won first prize and Ms Aashi Sharma won second Prize. On the occasion all the articles were displayed and e-certificates were distributed.

Ms. Sadia Naim (Co-convener) Mrs. Fauzia Khan (Coordinator) and Ms. Ikra Salim (Organizing Secretary) jointly conducted the inaugural function and coordinated all the sessions.
