Condolence meeting to mourn demise of Prof Suhail Ahmed Azmi

Aligarh : Faculty members from across various departments of the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) today paid homage to Prof Suhail Ahmed Azmi in a condolence meeting to mourn his demise.

Prof Azmi, who was serving as the Chairman, Department of Psychiatry passed away recently due to multiple organ failure during malignancy treatment at a New Delhi Hospital.

“For the JNMC faculty members and students, it will be very difficult to walk in the hospital corridors without encountering Prof Suhail Azmi, who was always there to share his passion for his thrust areas and help everyone in all ways possible”, said AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor.

Reading the condolence resolution, Prof M U Rabbani (Dean, Faculty of Medicine) extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family of Prof Suhail Azmi.

“Like other faculty members, I had a great deal of respect and affection for Prof Suhail Azmi and we will all miss him greatly”, he added.

Prof Rakesh Bhargava (Principal, JNMC) pointed out: “Prof Suhail Azmi will remain an inspiration to his colleagues and students. It was a privilege to know him”.
