Statistics research scholars of AMU bring laurels
Aligarh: Akshita Arora, a PhD scholar in the Department of Statistics and Operations Research, Aligarh Muslim University has qualified the prestigious Indian Statistical Services (2019) examination with 7th rank.
Besides, another two research scholars, Zainab Asim and Dr Srikant Gupta received best research awards ? Dr A M Mathai Award and Dr B K Kale Award at the International Conference on Advances in Statistics and Data Science for Sustainable Development held at Bhubaneswar, Orissa in consonance with 39th annual convention of Indian Society for Probability and Statistics.
Professor Aquil Ahmed also delivered an invited talk at the conference on “Decision making through statistics and operation research”.
