Korea Maritime & Ocean University Holds Pre-School for Freshmen
The ‘ New Student Pre-school’ was held for prospective freshmen in the 2023 school year .
From the 16th to the 19th , the freshman pre-school held on and near the university campus was the ‘ 2 -day, one -night camp for freshmen and current students ‘ , hosted by the Student Innovation Center under the Office of Student Affairs ( Director Kim Hong – seung ) . A total of 5 episodes have been prepared, and up to the 3rd episode has been run .
This is designed to help prospective freshmen in 2023 adapt to college life and improve their sense of belonging to school, and consists of programs centered on extracurricular activities . About 100 prospective freshmen of Korea Maritime and Ocean University and 20 current students who acted as mentors participated in each session .
This event was directly planned and operated by the departments operating non-subject programs in the school, the Center for Teaching and Learning , Library , LINC3.0 Project Group , Student Counseling Center , and Student Growth Support Office .
In particular, these departments are ▲ Challenging project to discover the potential and value inside ( Institute for Teaching and Learning Development ) ▲ Library tour and future letter writing ( Library ) ▲ Marshmallow Challenge (LINC3.0 Project Group ) ▲ My college life storytelling using picture cards ( Student Counseling Center ) ▲ Designed a school life roadmap ( Student Growth Support Office ) to allow students to experience various extracurricular programs of the school .
” We will continue to support students so that we can share our university’s educational vision and school culture, and help new students adapt to lively college life, ” said President Doh Do-hee .
Meanwhile , the 4th and 5th rounds of Pre-School for freshmen are scheduled to be held in February for prospective freshmen, including those who passed the exam on a regular basis .
