AMU ABK High School-Boys organise debate

Aligarh: Shahan Usmani of STS School won the ‘Inter School Urdu Debate’ competition on ‘Social Media is a Positive Substitute to the Traditional Media’ held at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) ABK High School-Boys to mark the Republic Day celebrations.

Azam Khan (AMU ABK High School-Boys) and Aman Saifi (AMU ABK High School-Boys) stood second and third respectively; Maria (AMU Girls School) and Ashraf Aziz (STS School) shared the consolation prize.

Participants from various AMU schools made the event lively with the debates based on strong arguments, said Dr Mohd Abbas Niazi (Principal).

Dr Mueed ur Rehman (Department of Urdu) and Mr Ayyub Shahab (Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School) judged the winners. Mr Shamimuddin and Mr Azam Hussain conducted the programme.
