Secretary Agriculture Production reviews implementation of KCC Scheme
Jammu: Secretary Agriculture Production Department, Manzoor Ahmad Lone today reviewed implementation and progress registered under Kissan Credit Card(KCC) Scheme at a meeting held here at Krishi Bhawan.
Director Agriculture, Jammu, Inder Jeet; Director Horticulture, Jammu, Ram Sevak; Vice-President, UTLBC, Faiyaz Ahmad Bhat; DGM, NABARD, Surinder Singh; besides Joint Director Agriculture, Agriculture Economist, Deputy Director (Central), Jammu, Chief Agriculture Officers, Chief Horticulture Officers of Jammu Division, Regional Heads PNB, SBI, JKB, EDB, JK Grameen Bank and other senior officers of the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments attended the meeting. Kashmir based officers of both the departments and banks attended the meeting through video conferencing.
The Secretary stressed on saturation of all Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) beneficiaries under KCC and activation of all inactive KCC accounts within 15 days period. He impressed upon the officers to work with a mission mode to achieve 100 percent coverage under the scheme in a stipulated time frame.
“The farmers associated with horticulture, poultry, fishery and other allied sectors should also be included in KCC Scheme as per guidelines,” he said. Secretary called for setting of targets for the banks for full coverage of PM-KISAN beneficiaries under KCC.
Director Agriculture, Jammu presented district wise progress under PM-KISAN vis-a-vis KCC Scheme and apprised that all the field functionaries are being mobilized to register uncovered PM-KISAN beneficiaries under KCC.
