DIC Udhampur organises symposium on ‘Save Environment’ at Dhanori

Udhampur: District Information Centre, Udhampur today organized a symposium contest on the topic “Save Environment” at Modern High School Dhanori.
District Information Officer, Udhampur Er. Sajad Bashir Somberia was the chief guest while principal of the institute, Joginder Kour presided over the function.
As many as 11 students of the school participated in the contest and stressed for the conservation of our environment for the survival of human being.
While speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that the main objective of organizing this contest is to sensitize and educate the students as well as community about the conservation of environment and right to clean environment and approaches to maintain the environment.
Principal of the school also spoke on the occasion she appreciated efforts of Information Department to hold such contest in the rural areas. She urged the department to organize such more programmes in the near future also.
Suhani Sharma adjudged first while Mhashwar Singh and Ranjeet Singh stood 2nd and 3rd espectively in the symposium contest. Ajay Singh and Vishal Verma bagged consolation prizes.
The chief guest distributed prizes and certificates among the participants. Sapna, Vinod Kumar and Saveena Choudhary acted as judges on the occasion.
Management committee, faculty, staff members of the school and students were present on the occasion.
