New Students welcomed to Dalarna University at the traditional Welcome Ceremony.

About 450 new students have commenced studies at Dalarna University. There to welcome them at Lugnetkyrkan, where the Welcome Ceremony was taking place, were representatives from both the Student Union and the University.

In his address to the audience, Vice-Chancellor Martin Norsell encouraged students to get involved in the student union and to find out what Dalarna as a county has to offer, describing the wealth of opportunities for outdoor and sporting activities and cultural experiences. He stated his belief that “self-discipline, stamina and hard work” are the ingredients to success when it comes to studies, combined with the importance of having fun.
