AMU faculty member co-chairs international conference
ALIGARH : Dr. Shirin Rais, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, Aligarh Muslim University co-chaired a technical session on the theme ‘Sustainable Education and Global Partnership’ at an International Conference on “Educational Reforms and Advancement”, organized online by the Council for Teachers’ Professional Development (CTPD), in collaboration with the K.R. Mangalam University and Galgotias University. She also judged the Best Paper prize, along with the Chair of the session.
Speaking on educational reforms and advancement, Dr. Rais appreciated the government’s initiative to launch the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020, adding that the new education policy has contents of a student-friendly education which will enhance enrollment rate and will also provide diversified job opportunities to the students.
She said that for a highly populated country like India, it’s important to utilize the potential of its youth and implementation of NEP 2020 is the right step in this direction which will further enhance economic growth and will help India become a developed nation based on its human capital.
