International seminar on Cross-Cultural Exchange in Islamic History
ALIGARH : The Department of Islamic Studies, Aligarh Muslim University is organizing an International Seminar on “Cross-Cultural Exchange in Islamic History: Past and Present” in hybrid mode on January 30-31, 2024.
Prof. Abdul Hamid Fazili, Chairman and Director of the Seminar, said that cross-cultural exchanges in Islamic history have left a long-lasting legacy and greatly contributed to the global exchange of knowledge and the development of various fields of arts and sciences. In order to look into these legacies and find out their relevance to modern human societies, this seminar will facilitate deeper academic exchanges among scholars, faculty members and experts.
Dr. Bilal Ahmad Kutty, Convener, said that research papers can be submitted on a myriad topics including the Golden Age of Islam, Muslim Spain (Al-Andalus), Trade and Commerce, Scientific and Mathematical Exchanges, Art and Architecture, Literature and Poetry, Medicine and Health Care, Religious and Philosophical Dialogues and Influence on Other Cultures.
