ABWA Robotics Team reach and compete at Global Level Championship’
The First Robotics Competition (FRC) is a global robotics contest for high school students. Teams have six weeks to design and build robots weighing up to 125 pounds (57 kg) that can compete in that year’s specific game. Tasks vary yearly and can include scoring balls, placing tubes on racks, hanging on bars, and balancing on beams. Although teams receive a standard set of parts during the kick-off event, they are encouraged to acquire or create specialized components as well. The FIRST Robotics Competition combes the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology.
ABWA’s robotics team has emerged as a platform of creativity and collaboration, captivating hearts and minds of students with their remarkable achievements. Competing against 51 teams in the Turkey regional, ABWA team received a Silver medal as finalists, alongside prestigious accolades like the Judge’s Award and Safety All-Star Award. Now, they’re gearing up for the New York City regional, poised to showcase their robot renowned for its agility and speed and was created at ‘Binary Bolts’ (ABWA’s Robotics Lab). With 38 students collaborating across technical and non-technical domains, ABWA epitomizes the fusion of creativity and expertise. In just 2.5 months, they transformed concepts into reality, acquiring not only technical skills but also valuable lessons in leadership and teamwork. ABWA encapsulates the spirit of resilience and innovation within the FRC community, offering inspiration for emerging talents in STEM education.
Considering the same, we would like to explore an interview with these aspiring talented students from FRC along with Mr. Prodipta Hore, International Initiatives Coordinator, Aditya Birla World Academy and Mrs. Radhika Sinha, Principal, Aditya Birla World Academy(ABWA).
