Building resilient education systems for the future
UNESCO New Delhi and UN Global Compact Network in India have partnered to organize ‘Manthan 2020’ – a unique competition to understand the COVID -19 impact on the education sector.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unexpected and unprecedented changes that necessitate relevant and timely responses from education stakeholders. School and university closures will not only have a short-term impact on the continuity of learning for more than 285 million young learners in India, but also engender far-reaching economic and societal consequences.
Recognizing these imperatives, under Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), an initiative of United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), UNESCO New Delhi will act as a strategic partner of the Manthan 2020 and help mobilize the learners community and education stakeholders in India.
