IIM Bodh Gaya completed the five years of its inception

Gaya: On 31st August 2020, IIM Bodh Gaya completed the five years of its inception. The anniversary celebration was organized by the Cultural Committee in a virtual, yet engaging way. The third generation IIM has taken a big leap towards achieving greater heights. The first batch of IIM Bodh Gaya was inaugurated by then HRD Minister, Smt. Smriti Irani on 31stAugust 2015. In the last five years, the institute has shown tremendous growth. From an intake capacity of 30 students in the first batch, the institute today has a student body of more than 300 students. The most recent batch to join the institute’s flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management is the largest yet, with a total strength of 200 students who were from diverse backgrounds with rich experience. There has also been a significant increase in the intake of female students compared to previous years. The placement offers have also been appreciable with companies such as BNY Mellon, Bisleri India, Kotak Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Crompton Greaves, HDFC Bank, OYO, EY, TATA, etc. The college has grown leaps and bounds in other dimensions as well. It seeks to give all its students a cutting-edge learning experience. Its case-based learning curriculum follows the same pedagogy as IIM Calcutta and other leading IIMs. The institute places great emphasis on holistic growth of the students along with academic excellence. The college currently has 11 committees with fulfil various student-driven administrative roles, and many clubs operated through the Student’s Affairs Office, which address various co-curricular and academic interests of the students. IIM Bodh Gaya organizes various annual events like ‘Elegante’, the management, cultural & sports fest, ‘Netritva’, the leadership summit, ‘Gyanodaya’ , the HR Conclave , the Youth Entrepreneurship Summit, and many more. To achieve global standards and contemporary trends for the better learning experience of the students the institute has partnered with 14 highly accredited international institutions, in countries like France, Italy, Greece, South Korea, and Mexico in the last one year. With world-class education, and tie-ups, its growth graph is scaling to new heights every academic year.
For this special occasion, the faculty, alumni, and current students came together for a video that was created by the Media & PR Committee with the help of Alumni Committee to reminisce about the journey that the college has spanned, the memories from the campus, journey in, and after the IIM BG life. Dr. Vinita Sahay, Director, IIM Bodh Gaya addressed the students and the faculty on this occasion and was motivated to achieve newer heights. The event was taken forward with a mesmerizing cultural program. It was concluded with a vote of thanks.
