SDM reviews KCC under Agriculture, allied sectors in Karnah
Karnah: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Karnah, Dr. Bilal Mohiddin Bhat today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of Kissan Credit Card (KCC) and other relevant schemes under Agriculture and allied sectors.
The meeting was informed that 10852 farmer families have been saturated for benefits under KCC Scheme through Agriculture and allied departments in the entire sub division, of which, 2343 farmer beneficiaries were already active under KCC before the launch of PM Kissan programme.
It was further informed that 5148 farmers have been registered under PM Kissan since the inception of the scheme and 3361 farmers have been registered during the fortnight programme ‘Kissan Pakhwada’ alone in last month.
The SDM impressed upon the concerned officers to intensify their efforts to cover up all farmer families of the border area under the ambit of different welfare schemes in vogue.
The SDM directed the concerned officers to work in coordination and facilitate hassle free loans to the farmer community to attain the convergent goal of doubling up the farmers income.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Tehsildar Karnah, Naib Tehsildars, BVO, Agriculture Extension Officer and SDO besides, Branch Heads of JK Bank Tangdar , Chitterkote and a representative from J&K Grameen Bank.
