Odisha: Distribution of Uniforms to Pre-School Children in AWCs under Malati Devi Prak Vidyalaya Paridhan Yojana

Bhubaneswar: Provision of two sets of uniforms for Pre-School children under “Malati Devi Prak Vidyalaya Paridhan Yojana”is an important initiative of the State
Government. Pre-School children also look forward to getting new uniforms that keep them interested to attend AWCs to avail a host of other Anganwadi Srvices
including Supplementary Nutrition Programme(SNP) and Early Child hood Care Education (ECCE).
This year, by 2nd October,14.83 lakh Pre-School childrenhave been provided 2 sets of uniform as per the colour composition (blue colour pants and pink colour
shirts) in 61040 Anganwadi Centres.1344 SHGs across the state were engaged in stitching and supply of the uniforms.
Public representatives, PRI members, eminent personalities, members of Mothers/ Jaanch Committees, parents/ grandparents of the children and head
master/mistress of school in the AWC area attended the programme. COVID protocols were strictly followed during the distribution of uniforms.
