Lecture on ‘Introduction to Intelligent Techniques’
Aligarh: Prof Shabana Mehfuz (Electrical Engineering Department, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi) deliberated components of Intelligent Techniques such as Artificial Neural Network, Fuzzy Logic Systems, Expert Systems, Evolutionary Computation and Swarm Intelligence.
She was speaking on ‘Introduction to Intelligent Techniques’ as the invited speaker in an online lecture organised by the Training and Placement Cell, University Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
Prof Shabana discussed how success has been achieved through the modeling of biological and natural intelligence.
“These techniques are utilized in fields where solutions cannot be obtained easily such in the areas of polynomial time and various mathematical and analytical methods. Intelligent Techniques deal with imprecision, uncertainty, partial truth, and approximation to achieve practicability, robustness and low cost solutions,” emphasised Prof Shabana.
Prof Pervez Mustajab (Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology) stressed the need to create awareness among students regarding intelligent systems as they move further into the realm of modern technologies.
Prof Arshad Umar (Principal, University Polytechnic) gave examples of areas where Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and similar Intelligent Techniques are successfully used for optimum solutions.
Dr M Faisal Khan, Training and Placement Officer, University Polytechnic and Organizing Secretary of the event conducted the program and extended the vote of thanks. Around 134 participants had registered for the event.
