Multinationals hire AMU students
Aligarh: Samsung, Reliance Jio, Zoho Corporation, Ultra Tech Cement, UHM Vacations, Softnice and EFS Facilities recently hired 40 Arts, Social Sciences, Commerce, Engineering and Science graduates from the Aligarh Muslim University despite the economic slowdown triggered by the Covid-19 outbreak.
These students were selected in an on-campus placement drive arranged by the Training and Placement Office-General of the university. The candidates were hired through virtual interviews and online pre-placement talks with their employers.
“The highest pay package offered to students in the drive was of Rs 9.60 lakhs per annum. The hard work of students and the quality education imparted by the University is reflected in the placement results,” said Mr Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer.
He added that more such placement drives are scheduled in the days to come.
