8 schools #lepanga to be crowned Kabaddi Juniors – Pune Champions

Pune: In a bid to take the excitement of Pro Kabaddi League to schools, organizers are hosting KBD Junior matches across the 12 match venues and in Pune, eight city schools are testing their mettle against each other at Badminton Hall, Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex. This is perhaps the best concerted effort to salute India’s home-grown sport and take it to the masses.
Looking to their local team Puneri Paltan for inspiration, students from The Lexicon International School, Kalyani Nagar, The Bishop’s School, Army Public School, Camp, Loyola High School, D Y Patil International School, MES Boys High School, Caelum High School, Undri, Vidya Niketan play out thrilling and nail baiting encounters as they raid and defend with gusto for glory. The parents and their school principals were present today to cheer the children to deliver their best.

The two semi-final matches witnessed by the audience, where D Y Patil Public School test their mettle against The Bishop’s School, and Vidya Niketan School took on MES Boys School.
The finals for KBD Juniors, Pune is going to be played between The Bishops School and Vidya Niketan School.
