Corona has to be controlled with caution but economic activities should continue
Bhopal:Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that we have to take complete precautions and eliminate Corona completely by controlling it, but special care must be taken to ensure that economic activities are not adversely affected. There should be no hindrance in marriage events, transportation of goods, etc., or time limit. The number of people attending the events may be limited. In high risk areas, small containment zones should also be created. In this regard, the Crisis Management Group of the district can take decisions according to conditions at local level.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed that strict adherence to use of masks is mandatory. All shopkeepers and customers must wear masks. Fine should also be imposed for not wearing masks. Care must also be taken to maintain necessary distance from each other. Public awareness campaign should be launched in this regard.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing Corona conditions and arrangements in the state through video conferencing from Bandhavgarh in Umaria district today. Forest Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, Tribal Welfare Minister Sushri Meena Singh, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Bisahulal Singh and all concerned officials were present in the meeting.
Special precautions should be taken in Indore and Bhopal
During district-wise review of Corona infection, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to take special precautions in Indore and Bhopal. Indore has the highest number of 565 new Corona patients, while 324 new patients have been found in Bhopal. The positivity rate in Bhopal in the last seven days is 12 percent, while that of Indore is 10 percent. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to take special precautions in Indore and Bhopal. He said that small containment zones should be created as per requirement. Spread of Corona infection has to be stopped and the positivity rate should not be allowed to rise above five percent in any case. Most patients are coming up in Kolar Road area in Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to create containment zones in high risk areas.
Districts with high positivity should take special care
In a district-wise review, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, found that along with Indore and Bhopal, the positivity rates of Gwalior, Ratlam, Vidisha, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Datia and Anuppur districts have been high in the last seven days. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed all districts to take special precautions.
Sampling should be done in sufficient number
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that sufficient number of samples should be taken in all the districts to enable early diagnosis and treatment of Corona. There should be adequate number of beds, oxygen beds, ICU. etc. in all Corona hospitals. Number of beds should be increased where necessary.
Good monitoring of ‘Home isolation’ patients must
Among total number of Corona patients in the state 59 percent are in “home isolation”. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed that good care must be taken of these patients through ‘Command and Control Centres’ in every district. They should be shifted to hospitals immediately if required.
Study of Burhanpur
Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains said that Burhanpur district has set a wonderful example in the direction of prevention and treatment of Corona infection. Other districts must study the work done in this regard in Burhanpur district and follow the best work in their districts also.
Arrangements of Sagar Medical College must be upgraded
In a review of Sagar district, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to improve the arrangements of the medical college there and reduce death rate. All divisional commissioners should review their divisions to ensure best treatment.
Officers in charge must gear up
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed the senior officers in-charge of each district for Corona control to gear up as Corona cases are increasing once again in the state and more than six thousand new cases have come up in the last seven days. They were told to constantly monitor their districts and prevent spread of Corona infection at all cost. Also, all arrangements for treatment of Corona should be well-maintained.
12 thousand 979 active patients of Corona in the state
A review revealed that there are 12 thousand 979 active Corona cases in the state. The average positivity rate of the state is 5.5 percent. The Corona recovery rate is 91.8 percent and the death rate is 1.6 percent. The testing capacity is 41 thousand 734 per 10 lakh patients. Active cases of Corona have started growing again since November 3rd in the state. The number of active cases which were 8 thousand 44 has now increased to 12 thousand 979.
