About studying on the exchange program in Spain
Alexandra Kuznetsova, a student of the Institute of Philology of PetrSU, spoke about studying under the exchange program at the University of Rovira and Virhili (Spain).
I would like to tell you about one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. My studies at Rovir and Virhili University were initially a risky decision, given the world situation. Nevertheless, I managed to get the documents and leave, and at the same time I managed to spend an unforgettable six months in a wonderful place, surrounded by wonderful people who have become my friends.
All my disciplines concerned my direction. I studied the theory of the English language, the history of English-speaking countries and foreign literature. We also had conversational practices. On average, the couples lasted longer than ours – 2 hours each. All classes were conducted online. But in the end, it turned out to be not the worst decision, since thanks to distance learning, there are more opportunities for traveling in Spain, mostly in Catalonia.
The restrictive measures did not give me the chance to meet my classmates, but gave me the opportunity to make friends with wonderful people from different countries who also came to Spain on an exchange program.
Life in the conditions dictated by the covid was not the easiest, and many things were never done by me during my stay in Tarragona. But I can safely say that in any situation you can find something good and gain experience.
I think I came back as a more experienced person in terms of life experience. I had to decide a lot for myself, get used to living conditions in a country with a different order and culture.
I believe that this experience inspired me to travel further and proved to me that there is no need to be afraid of change.
Therefore, you can safely apply for study in the country with the most beautiful sunsets!
