Acquaintance with the Institute of Economics and Law of PetrSU

A large-scale career guidance event for students in grades 9, 10 and 11 was held in Kondopoga.
The event was aimed at acquaintance of Kondopoga children with the Institute of Economics and Law of PetrSU and involvement in the fascinating legal world; criminal law and process and the department of the theory of law and civil law disciplines of the Institute.

Pupils of the 11th grade of secondary school No. 8 in Kondopoga met with the deputy director for academic affairs, Ph.D. N.S. Yermishina, who spoke about the admission procedure for training in 2021 for the direction of training “Jurisprudence”. A lesson was held on preparation for the Unified State Exam on the block “Law” on the topics “Criminal Law” (NS Ermishina) and “Criminal Procedure” (teacher of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure – AO Alekhina).

A master class on the most complex topic of the Politics block “State authorities” in preparation for the Unified State Exam in Social Studies was held for 11 grade students by Irina Yuryevna Biserova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Theory of Law and Civil Law Disciplines. We examined the formation procedure, powers and structure of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Federation Council and the State Duma, taking into account the amendments to the Constitution of Russia. Literature was recommended for preparation from the federal list of textbooks and advice was given on memorizing voluminous legal information.

A virtual tour of the Institute of Economics and Law allowed 11-graders to familiarize themselves with the class schedule, visit the courtroom , library, gym, and the Center for Modernized Model Jobs for Lawyers, and even look at the Military Training Center and the forensic training ground. Observing all anti-virus restrictions, the schoolchildren were able to see how a typical student day goes, what opportunities the institute offers for study and recreation.

For the 10th grade students, the 4th year student of the “Jurisprudence” training direction Yuri Evdokimov conducted interactive games on the prevention of extremism and terrorism. The concept of the event was developed by a master student of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure Elizaveta Karanevskaya under the guidance of a senior teacher E.M. Azimov. The measures taken – the implementation of the developed program of the Research Center for Criminological Monitoring for the prevention of delinquency and social and moral deformations among young people.

For 9th grade students, a master class was held by the head of the forensic laboratory, teacher of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure A.V. Kovalenkov, schoolchildren were able to fix and remove handprints, as well as participate in the fingerprinting procedure.
