TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS), India’s pioneering institution in Sustainable Development studies, invites application for the following courses.
MSC Programmes
Applications are invited for MSc programmes in Climate Science and Policy; and Environmental Studies & Resource Management
Eligibility: A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Geography with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 6.75 on a 10 point scale or equivalent, as determined by TERI SAS, wherever letter grades are awarded, or 60% marks in aggregate, wherever marks are awarded. For Candidates with bachelor’s degree in Humanities (e.g. Economics, Geography), a relaxation of 5%/0.75 Cumulative Grade Point Average could be allowed.
Applications are invited for MSc programme in Geoinformatics
Eligibility: A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, B. Arch, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 6.75 on a 10 point scale or equivalent, as determined by TERI SAS, wherever letter grades are awarded, or 60% marks in aggregate, wherever marks are awarded. For candidates with bachelor’s degree in either Humanities or Science in Geography/ Economics, a relaxation of 5% / 0.75 Cumulative Grade Point Average could be allowed.
Applications are invited for MSc programme in Plant Biology
Eligibility: A minimum eligibility of a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, preferably Life Sciences, with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters of the qualifying examinations), wherever marks are awarded, or a minimum cumulative grade point average of 6.2 on a 10 point scale will be required.
Applications are invited for MSc programme in Economics
Eligibility: B.A. (Hons.) / B.Sc. (Hons.) in Economics with 50 % or more marks in aggregate. (CGPA of 5.65) or Bachelor degree in any other discipline with at least 60% marks in aggregate (CGPA of 6.75). The applicant must have studied mathematics either at 10+2 level or at Bachelor’s level, either as subsidiary or as honours.
Applications are invited for MSc programme in Water Science and Governance
Eligibility: Graduate (B.Sc/B.A) or equivalent from any branch of Engineering, Environmental Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Geology, Atmospheric Science, Economics, Geography, Zoology, Botany, Anthropology, Agricultural Science with marks / CGPA not below 60% / 6.75 CGPA on a 10 point scale.
MBA programmes
Applications are invited for MBA programmes in Business Sustainability; and Infrastructure
Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with English at 10+2 level. The candidate will be shortlisted based on CAT/MAT/GMAT/CMAT/XAT scores. Candidates who have not appeared for the above exams can take the TERI SAS common entrance test. Candidates with more than 2 years of relevant work experience may be exempted from requirement (2) above depending on the discretion of the selection committee.
MA programme
Applications are invited for MA programme in Sustainable Development Practice
Eligibility: An undergraduate degree in any discipline, from a recognized institution / university. Candidates with prior experience in development sector would be preferred, although it is not mandatory.
M Tech Programmes
Applications are invited for MA programme in Renewable Energy Engineering and Management
Eligibility: A Bachelor’s degree in any branch of engineering or MSc with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 6.75 on a 10 point scale or equivalent or 60% marks in aggregate.
Applications are invited for M. Tech programme in Water Resource Engineering and Management
Eligibility: Graduate or equivalent from any branch of Engineering or Postgraduate or equivalent in Environmental Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Geology, Atmospheric Science, Economics, Geography, Agricultural Science with marks / CGPA not below 60% / 6.75 CGPA on a 10 point scale with mathematics at 10+2 level.
Applications are invited for M. Tech programme in Urban Development and Management
Eligibility: A candidate must possess minimum 55% marks in aggregate where ever marks are awarded or equivalent cumulative grade point average of 6.2 on a 10 point scale in B.E./B. Tech in any branch/discipline, B. Arch., B. Planning, or Masters or equivalent degree in Science.
LLM Programmes
Applications are invited for LLM programmes in Environment and Natural Resources Law; and Infrastructure and Business Law
Eligibility: A candidate having an LL.B. / B.L. Degree from a recognised University/Institution.

To walk-the-talk, the TERI SAS campus provides a setting which enhances learning and showcases the concept of modern green buildings. The campus is aesthetically designed with several features of passive solar design, energy-efficiency and water and waste management systems. TERI SAS students undergo training and internships with government, multilateral and multinational agencies during as a part of academic curriculum. The deemed university has a placement cell, as employment is considered as an integral part of the system. The cell taps government agencies like Dept. of Environment (Govt. of NCT, Delhi), FAO, multinational companies like ACC, Tata Power, Reliance Energy Ltd. and multilateral organisations like WWF, Action Aid International etc. for internships and employment programmes.
