Aligarh Muslim University: Online Debate and Essay Competition

Aligarh : To mark the 75th Independence Day of the country, being celebrated as “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”, the Advanced Centre for Women’s Studies, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is organising an online Debate and Essay Competition. The competitions are aimed at creating awareness about gender equity.

Professor Azra Musavi, Director of the Centre informed that the Debate Competition will be held on August 13 at 4 pm, on Google Meet on the topic “Patriarchy is responsible for Lingering Gender Inequality Even after 75 years of Independence”, while the topic for the Essay Competition is “Role of Women in Independence Movement of India”.

For online Debate competition, students can register themselves through [email protected], and students desirous to participate in the Essay Competition can email their essays in English or Hindi by August 18, 2021.
