Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor Condoles Prof S Masjood Hasan Demise

Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor has expressed a deep sense of grief at the death of Professor S Masjood Hasan, former faculty member of the department of Civil Engineering, AMU.

He prayed for a higher place in Jannah for him and solace for the bereaved family.

Professor S Masjood Hasan breathed his last yesterday evening at his residence in National Colony, Dodhpur, Aligarh. He was 86.

He was buried today morning at the University graveyard. His wife left for heavenly abode about a decade ago. He is survived by two daughters.

Prof Hasan served as Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology in the year 1990-92, and as Chairman, Department of Civil Engineering during 1984-87. He served as provost, Sir Shah Sulaiman Hall also.
