Allen Global Studies fulfils students’ dream of studying at MIT & Oxford

Kota: ALLEN, the pioneers of competitive exam preparation in India, with over 34 years of legacy in preparing students for aspirational exams like JEE and NEET, is now setting new benchmarks in preparing students for admission to World’s Top-Ranked Universities. As per the data from Oxford International, there has been 41% increase in the students who move abroad for studies. Admission to such world-renowned international universities require unique skills and Allen Global Studies Division (AGSD) aims at fuelling the aspirations of local students who want to apply for international studies in top universities like MIT, Stanford, Oxford, and Cambridge, among others.

Launched in the year 2018, AGSD has achieved phenomenal success in preparing students for entrance examinations to undergraduate courses of the top foreign universities. Apart from subject-based education, students are also offered guidance in profile building, document editing, preparing SOP (statement of purpose), interview skills, scholarship application, and recommendations. They also provide coaching for international standardized examinations such as SAT, TOEFL, ACT, IELTS, etc.

AGSD assists students in achieving their dream internships at international universities and also holds frequent interactions to understand their strengths and interests, thereby mapping out the ideal country and the course they should opt for. This year, AGSD has bagged a total of 672 calls from top-200 ranked international universities. While 8 students are selected in Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) USA, 11 and 2 students are selected for studying at University of Oxford UK, and California Institute of Technology (Caltech) USA respectively. There are also many other students who have been selected for Imperial, Michigan, and other top-ranking universities.

Around eight students of AGSD have been selected for Oxford University, UK, in the year 2022 alone, which is among the Top-5 Universities in the world. Mrinal Sharan, Anand, Jenisha Agarwal, Atharva S Mahajan, Atharva Parulekar, Aditya Kulkarni and Ishank Agarwal are a few of the achievers, from Allen’s classroom students. AGSD also helped its students secure ‘Reach Scholarship’ given by Oxford and more than 90% scholarship for MIT undergraduate programs.

“Studying abroad is more than just education, it is a holistic experience. As per the Ministry of External Affairs, 2,61,406 students from India went abroad in 2020 and 71,769 students left India in 2019. The numbers are bound to increase in the coming years. Students move abroad to pursue the highest standards for studies that promote an open and liberal learning environment. A shortcoming that’s faced by most students include the impact that regional biases and cultural influence have on their curriculum and syllabus. However, most international universities today are open to diverse viewpoints and support cultural pluralism thereby promoting tolerance in students, that’s a critical aspect of learning from diverse cultures,” says Aman Maheshwari, Whole Time Executive, Allen Global Studies Division.

The AGSD initiative, initially launched in Kota, has now reached Bengaluru, Pune, Mohali, Surat, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Indore, and Bhubaneswar. Allen has witnessed an overwhelming success within 4 years of AGSD’s inception. AGSD has facilitated the admission of its students to the World’s Top-200 ranked Universities, who have received 100% placement. For reference, IIT Mumbai is ranked 172 in the International University Rankings as per the QS Rankings 2023.

AGSD offers two types of courses. The long-term courses include yearlong classroom courses for students from Standard IX to Standard XII and the short term course includes all aspects of specific standardized examinations such as SAT, ACT, IELTS, TOEFL, AP, GRE, GMAT, UCAT, BMAT, etc. The counsellors at AGSD help make the abroad application process easier by guiding students through all steps of the extensive application process. They are also readily available to help students with the VISA application process. The expert lecturers provide the required training to students and help them ace standardized examinations such as IELTS, SAT, GRE, etc.
