Alumni, well-wishers donate generously for Oxygen Generating Plants and medical equipment
Aligarh : Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) alumni and well-wishers have generously donated Rs 1, 02, 32, 479. 46 to the AMU Alumni Fund Account, Rs 73, 54, 974 to the AMU Misc Account (FCRA) and 63, 67, 400 to the AMU Donation Account for setting up Oxygen Generating Plants at the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) and for the purchase of other medical equipment.
The total of Rs 2, 39, 54, 853.46 will go a long way to bolster AMU’s Covid pandemic response, said AMU Registrar, Mr Abdul Hamid (IPS).
He added: “The amount has been collected in the form of donation in the respective accounts from April 1, 2021 to the present day”.

The information on the donations made to AMU Misc Account (FCRA) and AMU Donation Account can be seen in the section, ‘Donation Received for JNMC Hospital’ on the link, https://amu.ac.in/offices/accounts-section-2/useful-download”, stated a notice from the Office of the Registrar.
The notice makes it clear that AMU is a Government funded Central University and is bound to follow the GFR – 2017 Rules and Regulations. As per the expenditure of funds is concerned, the defined procedure is to be followed. Utilization of funds is done in a very transparent manner and donors will be updated about it in regular intervals.
