AMD JKRLM presides over awareness program

GANDERBAL : NRLM district Ganderbal in convergence with agriculture department today held an awareness programme for establishment of market linkage facilities for surplus vegetables produced by SHG members.

The program was presided over by the Additional Mission Director Kashmir JKRLM, Sajid Yehya Naqash.

Chief Agriculture Officer Ganderbal, Gulam Hassan Magray along with staff of agriculture and all district mission management unit Ganderbal were present in the programme.

AMD Kashmir said this opportunity for selling of the produce of SHG members to all nook and corners of the UT including Leh and Kargil with the support of refrigerator vans by agriculture will be a big boost in the increase of income of rural women.

CAO Ganderbal on the occasion ensured full support for SHG women at all levels, be it training, market linkages and processing of foods.

JKRLMs objective of adding value to the livelihoods of women in rural areas for increase in their income will take a big leap after this initiative.
