Amity Organized 3rd International Conference in association with IEEE UK on Intelligent Engineering & Management
New Delhi: Amity University, under the leadership of Founder President Dr. Ashok K Chauhan and Chancellor Dr. Atul Chauhan, touched another milestone by organizing 3rd International Conference in association with IEEE (UK & Ireland) in virtual mode on Intelligent Engineering & Management from April 28-30, 2021
Conference was inaugurated on 28th April 2021 by Lord Rami Ranger, House of Lords UK Parliament & Founder, Sun Mark Group UK; Prof. Mike Hinchey, Director, Lero – The Irish Software Engineering Research Centre & Past Chair IEEE (UK & IrelandSection); Prof. Mark E Smith, Vice Chancellor, University of Southampton, UK; Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Vice-Chancellor, AIU-Bangladesh; Professor Nigel Wright, Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Research and Enterprise, Nottingham Trent University, UK; Ms. Harjeet Kaur Joshi, CMD The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd; Mr. Pravin Hungund -Chief Technologist & Global Head Technovation Centre, Wipro Ltd.; Mr. G.K. Mishra, Group Vice President at Publicis Sapient; Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities.
Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh while welcoming dignitaries said that today world is facing great challenge in form of this pandemic. Technology has to play important role in this scenario including in medical care, logistics, transportation, education etc. Intelligent engineering is required to meet these human challenges. Prof. (Dr.) Singh said that money can’t buy anything not even health. Speaking on the theme of the conference Prof. Dr. Singh said that this conference is humble attempt to integrate Education 4.0 with Industry 4.0. Involving industry is important and whatever academicians or university is producing in terms of research is for industry only.
Lord Rami Ranger in his keynote address wished that this Corona pandemic be over soon. While sharing his life experiences, Lord Ranger said that in life one need values which comprises of Self-respect, Work ethics, empathy for others, vision, commitments, hard work. One has to be best amongst rest and mediocracy means nothing. Competition is part of life and always strive to be best for one’s own self-respect. One should always have positive attitude even if the situation is negative.
Prof. Mike Hincheysaid that in present era how everyone become so dependent on Information technology Simple device like mobile is to our help every time. IT enabled devices are now in every field, medical, transportation, business, trade, education etc.
It was followed by research paper presentation on the Second Day of the Conference by researchers from all over the world. Amity has received more than 440 research paper for the conference out of which 124 good quality research papers were presented during the conference which were divided into tracks of different domains. Researcher from USA, UK, Germany, Norway, Slovakia, Hungary, Indonesia, Malaysia, Iran, Morocco, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Pakistan etc. has contributed in the field of research and presented their paper.
During the Valedictory Session on the final day of the Conference witnessed the Best Research Paper Award Ceremony. During the session Prof. Marc Gruber, Chair of ENTC, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, Switzerland presented the keynote address in which Prof. Gruber emphasised on the evolving aspects of technology. He said that when one look at the history of technology, disruptions take place after every 20-25 years. To make optimum usage, one has to link between technology and application of technology. Giving example, Prof. Gruber said if one put sensor in the table, it can convert it into smart table with many functionalities. He said ordinary wrist watch with having technology can be converted into smart watch with medical functions like taking blood pressure, pulse rate, oxygen level etc.
During the session Best Research Paper awards were given by Prof. Marc Gruber, Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh to the Research Papers titled “BloCoV6: A blockchain based 6G assisted UAV contact tracing scheme for COVID-19 pandemic”; “Parametric Binary tree lebeling based RDHEI technique”; “AnSMart: A SVM based anomaly detection via system profiling in Smart Grids” were adjudged and awarded as Best Research Papers.
Dr.GurinderSingh complimented the coordinators, for organizing this mega event. He said that on a solitary stage, galaxy of such scholarly people has never been before.
