Amity University, Mumbai celebrates Innovation Day 2022

Amity University, Mumbai celebrated “Innovation Day” on 28th September. This day marks the spirit of innovation and showcases innovative practices at different Amity campuses  24 University campuses spread around the world. At all Amity Universities, this day of 2022  is celebrated under the theme “Celebrating Innovation and Creativity” to mark the celebration of the birthday of President and Chancellor Dr Aseem Chauhan.

 

 

 

Speaking at the occasion the Founder President Dr Ashok K Chauhan said that, “The celebrations not only make the existing group of scientists being valued and appreciated but also inspires young faculties and students of Amity universities to pursue a mission of research and innovation to almost dedication and commitment,  I breathe innovation, I dream innovation and sleep innovation.” Furthermore, He said that obstacles come in life, but we have to learn to get out of it, that’s the beginning of life in real sense.

 

 

 

Amity Education group has set up Amity Innovation incubator at Noida campus. Amity Innovation Incubator is the most comprehensive start-up support ecosystem across the country. With presence across 17 cities in India, it supported more than 300 start-ups in their journey of Entrepreneurship. At the event, Vice Chancellors and representative scientists from each campus explained the thrust areas of research and Innovation with special emphasis to start-ups. Amity university Mumbai, represented by the Vice Chancellor, Dr. A.W.Santhosh Kumar conveyed the significant role played in the field of Astrobiology, Drug Discovery, AI based technology  and Translational research focus. The scientists from Amity University Mumbai also focused on their role in research. One of the highlight is the 11 camps start-ups and the entrepreneurship culture fostered through the  Amity Innovation Incubator that was inaugurated today  in adopting the multifold approach to enhance and improve the ongoing researches and innovations.

 

 

 

Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University said, “One aspect I feel we should now think as a next step that what is the outcome of these research and how can we work together to help to solve the basic problem of society in the world. Actually, universities and institutions have had the biggest impact on the world are those who have taken practical problem and solved them through science research and translations. If you are able to identify the critical problem then set up a challenge to find solution for industry, for government, for NGO and whatever, better try to identify the relation of use worthy and see for whom we are solving the problem.”  Dr. Aseem Chauhan and the  Founder President, both  emphasised on the future goals set to focus on working towards National goal of achieving a significant Global Innovation Index
