AMU community mourns loss of Prof Kr Sajid Ali Khan

 

Aligarh, April 30: The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) community mourns the loss of Prof Kr Sajid Ali Khan, Chairman, Department of Psychology who died in a Delhi hospital last night. He was 63-years-old.

“My heart and condolences go out to Prof Kr Sajid’s family, friends, colleagues, and students. The University community will deeply miss him. He worked well with his qualities of mind and big-heartedness,” said AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor.

He added that the sad demise is also a personal loss for him.

Prof Kr Sajid’s colleagues describe him as a vibrant presence who left an indelible mark. He was known for conducting high quality research. His areas of expertise included applied psychology, statistics, research methods and criminal psychology.

As an adept researcher, Prof Kr Sajid produced significant works. He published papers in peer-reviewed journals, authored books, wrote book chapters, edited important academic books and presented papers at various national and international fora.

Over the course of a teaching and research career spanning over 30 years, he guided Ph.D and PDF research scholars and taught the graduate and postgraduate students.
