AMU faculty attends international conference
Aligarh: Professor Salma Ahmed, Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University, along with her research scholars Mohd Azmi Khan and Amgad Sayeed Dabwan attended an international conference on “Transforming HR in the Digital Era: Prospects and Implicit Issues” held at the Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Ghaziabad.
Presenting her paper on “Human Resource: A Critical Factor for Success in Retailing”, Prof Ahmed’s research scholars highlighted the challenges faced by the retail sector in managing human resource. They also presented a case study of Bangalore based company, ‘Lifestyle International Private Limited’, which succeeded in overcoming these challenges by introducing various human resource initiatives and emerging as “the best place to work”.
Prof Ahmed also chaired a session on “Digital Transformation in HR”.
