AMU Faculty Member Selected for Professional Development Award

Aligarh : Dr. Asfia Sultan, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been selected for the prestigious Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Professional Development Award.

The Scientific Programme Committee has selected her abstract entitled “Determination of mics and gene mutations among fosfomycin resistant isolates of asymptomatic bacteriuria cases during pregnancy”, for poster presentation during the ISID Congress 2022, to be held on November 17-20, 2022 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

She will be delivering another oral presentation on her research “CRE Colonization”, during the conference.

Congratulating Dr Asfia, Prof. Haris M. Khan, Chairman, Department of Microbiology said, such presentations and awards motivate other faculty members and post graduate students for showcasing their research at international level.
