AMU faculty members get projects worth 66 lakh

Aligarh: Prof Ayesha Farooq and Dr Lamay Bin Sabir, Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University have received a grant of about Rs 66 lakhs for six projects from the Development Commissioner, Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, under various schemes.

These schemes are designed to develop artisan skills among various sections of society that are not able to get a job or start their business for the lack of necessary skills. Under this scheme, training will be provided to the participants from Aligarh, Hathras, Bulandshahr, Rampur, Moradabad, etc, to equip them with skills such as hand embroidery, metal craft and Applique craft, they added.
