AMU Faculty speaks on Women in Tourism and Hospitality Entrepreneurship
Aligarh : Professor Sheeba Hamid, Coordinator, Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM), Department of Commerce, AMU spoke on “Women in Tourism and Hospitality Entrepreneurship: Issues and Challenges” in the virtual International Conference on Enterprise and Entrepreneurialism in Tourism and Hospitality, organized by the Department of Tourism and Hospitability Management, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
Professor Sheeba said, “to unlock the potential of tourism and hospitality industry, women entrepreneurs need to embrace education and get trained on how to use modern technologies, which is fundamental in coping with the trends in the globalized environment.’’
She also emphasized on the need to build innovative women centric incubator and accelerator models at college, university, industry and government level.
Tourism sector should join hands with universities (EDC-Entrepreneurship Development Cells) in redesigning the educational policies, she added.
