AMU Gears up for Entrance Tests/Examinations; More than 1.5 lakh Students Register for Entrance Exams

Aligarh: After the Eid festivities, the Aligarh Muslim University is all geared up for its entrance and semester examinations. From the month of May, most of the examinations are lined up and preparations for their smooth conduct are in full swing.

Over 1.5 lakh aspirants have applied for admission to various courses in the University, this is the highest in the past three years.

The entrance test will be conducted at AMU Aligarh and also in other cities like Lucknow, Srinagar, Patna, Kolkata, Kozhikode etc. University has made elaborate arrangements for conducting various admission tests. Faculty members will be deputed as Observers for different admission test centres across the country.

Besides this, University will also be conducting the Semester Examinations for all undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the session 2022-23 beginning on 29 April.

The official spokesperson informed that post-pandemic and after a hiatus of nearly two academic sessions, the semester examinations are being conducted as per schedule. The step has been taken to safeguard the academic interest of the students and timely declaration of the result. The examination schedule has been uploaded on the website for the information of students.

AMU has also adopted the Four Year Undergraduate Program from the session 2022-23 and has successfully conducted the first semester examinations of this batch. Their second-semester examinations will be conducted shortly.

Keeping in view of some Covid-19 cases being reported, the University is also taking all steps to safeguard the interest of the students. Regular disinfecting of public areas is being undertaken in accordance with prescribed norms. Awareness and sensitization programs are also being held while students are being encouraged to follow Covid-19 behaviour.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohammad Gulrez has sought the cooperation of Faculty members, staff, and students for the smooth conduct of various examinations.
