AMU girls help win quarter-finals of football

ALIGARH : The Aligarh district girls’ Under-19 football team, which comprised 9 girl students from the AMU ABK High School (Girls), qualified for the quarter-finals defeating its rival team Inter-Region State Junior Girls’ Football Tournament, recently played at Barabanki, UP. The team received a trophy and medals for demonstrating exemplary sportsman calibre.

While congratulating the school players on their success, the Vice-Principal of the school, Dr. Saba Hasan said that another student, Bhoomi Sharma has been selected for State Wrestling Championship and will participate in the Sub-Junior Wrestling Championship at Agra.
