AMU mourns demise of Prof Anwer Salamat Khan

Aligarh: Faculty members, non-teaching staff and students of the Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) mourned the demise of Dr Anwer Salamat Khan (Retired Professor of Nephrology and former Chairman, Department of Medicine) in a condolence meeting held at a lecture theatre of the Faculty of Medicine.

“The university community shares the sorrow of Prof Anwer Salamat’s bereaved family and I wish all of us to find comfort in his memories. He will be deeply missed by friends, colleagues and students,” said AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor.

Reading the condolence message, Prof Rakesh Bhargava (Dean, Faculty of Medicine) expressed sorrow and profound grief on the demise of Prof Anwer Salamat and extended condolences to his family.
