AMU: Online Programe on Management System

Aligarh: The Department of Electronics Engineering, Z.H.C.E.T, A.M.U., organized a week-long Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Moodle: Learning Management System” in association with Spoken Tutorial project, IIT Bombay. Prof Tariq Mansoor, Vice-Chancellor inaugurated FDP.

A total of 524 faculty members across the nation had been shortlisted The agenda of the FDP was to enlighten them with online teaching, learning and evaluation methodology of Moodle, a popular open-source Learning Management System tool which provides seamless transition from the teaching and learning process of the classroom onto the online platform accessible through the internet.

The FDP was floated on Moodle and all the learning resources like lectures and quizzes were available online to the participants at the click of a button. The FDP

Unlike the traditional FDP, this one was a self-paced program where the participants had the freedom to peruse through the learning resources at their ease at the time of their choice. The online discussion forum provided participants with an opportunity to discuss doubts or clarifications with the instructors and fellow learners informed Prof Omar Farooq (Chairman of Dept of Electronics)

The Faculty Development Program was coordinated by Dr Mohammad Wajid, Asst Professor Department of Electronics Engineering, AMU in co-coordination with Mr Faisal Alam, Asst Professor Department of Computer Engineering, AMU and other organizing team members of Electronics Engineering.

The coordinator expressed his gratitude to the VC Prof Tariq Mansoor and the resource persons from IIT Bombay, Chairman of Department, and Prof Pervez Mustajab Dean Faculty of Engineering.

The participants expressed satisfaction and had given the positive feedback via online form, also they had sent the video clips of their feedback on a good note.
