AMU researchers get prestigious research opportunities

 

ALIGARH  : Three research students of the Department of Physics, Aligarh Muslim University, specializing in neutrino physics, have achieved remarkable success, bringing laurels to the university.

Vaniya Ansari, who has recently completed her PhD from AMU, secured the prestigious position of Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Mississippi State University, commencing from December 16, 2023. Her research focus will be on the SeaQuest experiment.

Sayeed Akhter and Prameet Kumar Gaur, both pursuing Ph.D. at AMU are set to embark on an exciting six-month research stint at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in the United States, starting from November 15, 2023.

Notably, they are actively contributing to the MINERvA collaboration, with AMU standing as the sole participating institution from India in this prestigious initiative, added Prof Sajjad Athar, Chairman, Department of Physics.
