AMU Student selected for Commonwealth Shared Scholarship

 

Aligarh : Ms. Wardah Beg of the Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University has been selected for Commonwealth Shared Scholarship, a fully funded Master’s scholarship offered jointly by the British Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) in collaboration with a UK University.

 

Ms. Wardah will pursue her Master’s degree in Understanding and Securing Human Rights at the School of Advanced Study (SAS), University of London, carrying out research in the sphere of international human rights, conflict resolution and human rights law in the context of ethnic and religious minorities.

 

SAS is a postgraduate institution of the University of London. It is the UK’s national centre for the promotion and facilitation of research in the humanities and social sciences, and hosts the longest running practice oriented human rights course in the UK.

 

Additionally, she received offers from School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of Bristol and Queen Mary University of London, among others. She was also shortlisted for the prestigious fully funded Chevening Scholarship awarded by the UK Government FCDO.
