AMU teacher presents a research paper, gets best paper award
ALIGARH : Dr. Muzamil Mushtaq, Department of Library and Information Science, Aligarh Muslim University presented a research paper on “Research Data Management (RDM) Practices in Academic Institutes of the country” and proposed a framework for designing an institutional data repository system for central universities at the 7th International Conference organized by Akal University, Sabo, Bhatinda, in collaboration with the Asian Library Association (ICAL-2024).
Dr Mushtaq also received the best paper award for his presentation from amongst the 65 papers received by the conference committee. His paper described the data as a valuable ingredient of research and highlighted the issues and challenges of RDM both at the institutional as well as governmental level, with special reference to the lack of policies, infrastructure, role of funding agencies, publishing bodies, etc.
