AMU teacher presents paper at a seminar at University of Delhi

ALIGARH  : Dr. Hina Mushtaq, Department of Philosophy, Aligarh Muslim University, presented a paper, “Beyond Western Paradigms: Prof. Mrinal Miri’s Inquiry into Reason and Religion,” at a seminar organized by the Department of Philosophy, University of Delhi.

In her lecture, Dr. Mushtaq emphasized the idea that non-European nations possess unique perspectives on reason and religion, shaped by their distinct social imaginaries.

Drawing inspiration from Prof. Miri’s scholarly work, she argued that the theories emerging from the European Enlightenment project should not be universally applied or considered as the sole criteria for judgment. Instead, she advocated for recognizing and respecting diverse cultural and intellectual frameworks in understanding the intricate relationship between reason and religion.
