AMU VC Sanctions Compensation Amount for Injured Security Guards

Aligarh: The AMU Vice Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor has announced an ex gratia amount of Rupees ten thousand each to the four security guards who sustained minor injuries when the bus met with an accident near Saifai, Etawah.

The Bus returning to Aligarh after dropping AMU students to their respective home districts overran a divider near Saifai.

In this incident, four security guards Mr. Mujahid Ali, Mr. Mohd Saleem, Mr. Naim Khan and Mr. Hamid Ali sustained injuries. Upon reaching Aligarh they were treated at AMU?s JN Medical College and discharged with the advice to remain in home quarantine.

Prof Tariq Mansoor has approved the compensation, on the recommendation by the university proctor Prof M Wasim Ali.
