Anaemia Awareness Camp held at Ghagwal

 

GHAGWAL : An Anaemia awareness camp was today organized by ICDS Project Ghagwal in collaboration with the Health Department here to screen and test anaemia among beneficiaries of ICDS.

During the event, screening of pregnant women, lactating mothers and 6m to 6yrs children was done for anaemia.

The programme was graced by Deputy Director, ICDS, Tinna Mahajan.

Deputy Director, ICDS highlighted the themes of POSHAN Maah, 2021 including Plantation Activity as “Poshan Vatika”, Yoga and AYUSH for Nutrition, Distribution of “Regional Nutrition Kits” among beneficiaries of High Burden Districts, Identification of Severe Acute Malnutrition among Children and Distribution of Nutritious food. She also focused on Anaemia, a major problem in India.

The Doctors from AYUSH & Health Department talked about prevention of Anaemia in Pregnant Ladies, Nursing Mothers and children.

The frontline Workers of ICDS Project Ghagwal performed Yoga asanas particularly for Pregnant Ladies, Nursing mothers and children.

A Nukkad Nattak was presented by Anganwari Workers for awareness of Anaemia, its symptoms and preventions.

Medical Checkups of ICDS Beneficiaries was conducted by a team of doctors of National Health Mission (NHM), while AYUSH department provided Ayurvedic Medicines to the partcipants.

The CDPO, Supervisors, Sarpanch, AWWs, ICDS beneficiary of Tapyal Panchayat attended the camp.
