Annual Hall Function at Sir Syed Hall (South) Celebrated

 

Aligarh : Sir Syed Hall (South) at Aligarh Muslim University celebrated its Annual Hall function recently at the historic Strachey Hall. The event was a testament to the rich traditions and values of AMU.

Provost of the hall, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Dar in his introductory address, encouraged students to uphold the university’s time-honored customs and traditions. He outlined the objectives of the Annual Hall Function, emphasizing the importance of preserving academic traditions.

The event was presided by Professor Ubaidullah Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Unani Medicine at Ajmal Khan Tibiyya College. Professor Khan commended the hall administration and the organizing team for orchestrating the event and stressed the significance of human values and the preservation of academic traditions in his address.

The Chief Guest, Professor Rizwan Khan, Department of English at AMU, shared his insights and experiences with the attendees. He highlighted the distinctive tradition of AMU and underscored the importance of personality development among students, emphasizing the role of education, culture, and personal growth.

Dr. Zubair Shadab Khan, Deputy Director of the Urdu Academy at AMU, emphasized the importance of education, community, and tradition in shaping the future of students.

Md Ehtashamul Islam Khan, Senior Hall, extended greetings to all attendees for their participation. He presented the Annual Hall report and credited the event’s success to the collective efforts of residents, the organizing committee, volunteers, post holders, and hall staff.
