Apeejay School Noida observes Road Safety Week

 

Noida : Apeejay School, Noida recently organised ‘Road Safety Week’ in an endeavour to generate awareness amongst students towards traffic rules and road safety.
The school organised a plethora of activities during the week ranging from online quiz to poster making competition to spread awareness among the young pupils. The school’s Interact Club students participated enthusiastically in the activities and conveyed the message of plying safely on roads through their colourful and creative posters.
The students were shown videos depicting the importance of traffic rules and signals. These videos were aimed at educating them about various alarming situations on roads along with the steps to be followed to prevent and mitigate mishaps. Also, a special virtual assembly took place via Zoom platform for the students of classes VI-VIII on the same.
Addressing the students, Ms Amrita Hajela, Vice Principal, Apeejay School, Noida, emphasised the importance of following traffic rules and stated that the government has issued the rules to ensure the safety of people on road. Further, she added, “A little contribution by one and all will reduce the risk of serious injury.”
Moreover, the school organised a workshop for the Middle and Senior Wing teachers to equip them with knowledge and skills to teach the road safety measures effectively. The trainer highlighted the importance of wearing a Helmet for two-wheelers, traffic rules and signs, speeding. Besides, the session covered the significance of good maintenance of vehicles to avoid road accidents.
The ‘Road Safety Week’ inspired the students and staff as they pledged to act responsibly and make Indian roads safer by following all the road safety measures.
